Robin in Bozeman
Images of Cowboys, Indians, open spaces, pioneer trails and wild and rowdy miners are still part of the mystique associated with the Bozeman area. Indeed, tribal bands including the Shoshone, Nez Perce, Blackfeet, Flathead and Sioux date back several hundred years. The Lewis & Clark party left the first written description of the valley in both 1805 and 1806 during its epic journey. When gold was discovered 60 and 80 miles to the west, the rush came over the new Bozeman Trail, established by John Bozeman, a Georgian also looking for gold.
Plans for a townsite were drafted on July 7, 1864, and the name of Bozeman was chosen. in 1893 the Agricultural College of the State of Montana was founded. It went through numerous name changes over the years and today, as Montana State University, it enjoys a national and international reputation for excellence. Also excellent is a student here like Robin, who will stand on her head in 20-degree weather behind Bobcat Physical Therapy if necessary to get the class (or guy) she wants!
