Theresa and friends at Milford Oyster Festival
Started in 1975, the Milford Oyster Festival has grown over the last 30 years into the largest one-day festival in Connecticut and attracts over 50,000 people a year. It attracts locals as well as those in neighboring towns and states. All who come want to enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and history of Milford at a family-oriented Festival. Designed to raise money for, and bring awareness to, the local non-profit organizations through a festival that celebrates the important history the oyster industry once had on the City of Milford.
A local, Theresa has attended year after year. She graced us with a photo of her in our turquoise & fuchisa camisole, which was very kewl, but who are these other freeloaders who jumped into the act? Perhaps someday we'll get new photos with more folks wearing Hippie Skivvies. In the meantime, check out the Milford Oyster Festival if you're ever in the area on the third Saturday of August!
